Beasley to be honored at former high school |
Clemson defensive end
Vic Beasley
Vic Beasley "It’s going to be a pretty big deal," Adairsville head coach Eric Bishop said to the Daily Tribune News. "The biggest thing is Vic has accomplished so many things here at Adairsville and at Clemson, and is doing this kind of pre-emption to the draft. He’s going to have a lot more accomplishments to celebrate, I’m sure, in the future. We just felt like, before the draft, we wanted for him to be able to find time in his training schedule to kind of come home and let us pat him on the back a little bit." Beasley wowed scouts at the 2015 NFL Combine with his the following stats - 40-yard dash time of 4.53, broad jump of 10-10, 20-yard shuttle of 4.15 seconds, three-cone drill time of 6.91 and 35 bench press reps of 225 pounds. He measured in at 6-3 246 pounds with 32 1/2" arms and 9 3/8" hands at the NFL combine on Friday morning. The 2015 NFL draft is on April 30th. Beasley accumulated 33 sacks, an amazing 52.5 tackles for loss at Clemson and was a two-time first-team All-American. He was also selected as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. @ClemsonTigerNet pic.twitter.com/9XlA2vCdLI
