was initially given #43 and #48 earlier in the week by Falcon's management.

"I wasn't feeling them," Beasley said to ESPN. Beasley settled for #44 instead. He will be a hybrid linebacker/defensive end for the Falcons.

Beasley chose #44 because 4 + 4 = 8 which is Beasley's overall selection in the 2015 NFL draft. He also will wear Beasley Jr. on his jersey instead of just Beasley to honor his father Victor Sr.

The team also announced that Grady JarrettGrady Jarrett

will be wearing #97 for the Falcons.

Former Clemson linebacker Stephone Anthony will don #50 for the New Orleans Saints.

Also, former Clemson linebacker Tony Steward will wear #50 for the Buffalo Bills and Josh Watson has a #70 jersey number with the Denver Broncos.
