Beasley: 'I feel like I'm better' than Clowney |
Clemson senior defensive end
Vic Beasley
Vic Beasley “I feel like I’m the better player,” Beasley told Sports Illustrated. As a junior, Beasley had 13 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and was a consensus first-team All-American. He also talked about what makes him such a dangerous pass rusher for the Tigers. “I feel like I’ve got the best first step in college football,” Beasley said. Beasley stayed for his senior season even after receiving a respectable second-round grade from the NFL advisory committee. “The reason I didn’t go is because I wanted to get my degree. It means a lot to me. It’s an honor just to be able to set an example for the young kids and the older people in my family. I know a lot of kids around the area that look up to me back home.”
