Bayless thinks Cleveland should draft Watson #1 overall

by - Assoc. Editor -

Fox Sports One personality Skip Bayless said during his television show 'UNDISPUTED' on Monday that he thinks that the Cleveland Browns should draft former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson #1 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

"Now I look back, and I think his poise and his body language even in the throwing drills, it made him stand out as the leader of that pack," Bayless said. "It looked like he was the one who was taking over and taking charge. I talked to a longtime quarterback coach that I have a lot of respect for last night. He said 'Hey Jameis [Winston] or Mariotta would be far and away number one in this draft.' I get that, but if I am the Clevland Browns, I would do this. I would take Deshaun number one, and I wouldn't look back because I think he can win a whole lot of football games at the next level."

In 2016, Watson completed 388 passes out of 579 attempts for 4593 yards and 41 passing touchdowns with 17 interceptions (and his degree) for an adjusted QBR of 84.9.
