Andre Ellington injury update |
Former Clemson running back
Andre Ellington
Andre Ellington Ellington suffered a severe hip pointer injury in Sunday's 28-18 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Ellington had already been dealing with foot and other hip injuries. In the limited action, he had 10 carries for 24 yards. According to sportsMD.com, a hip pointer is a contusion on the bone on the brim of the hip. Severe contusions can include hematoma and bleeding. This injury could possibly keep Ellington out of the lineup for a few weeks. For the season, Ellington has rushed for 660 yards and three touchdowns. Stepfan Taylor will get the majority of the snaps with Ellington out of the lineup.
