WATCH: Swinney on Brent Venables being candidate for head coaching positions

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney talked to the media for his weekly press conference and was asked by a reporter if Swinney is worried about head coach job vacancies around college football with talented defensive coordinator Brent Venables.

"I think he is the best defensive coordinator in the country," Swinney said. "Anybody on my staff who has an opportunity, I would love that for them. That's something everyone has to evaluate on their own. One thing we ain't going to do is talk about jobs. We're going to talk about who we're playing and this season. I would never want anyone to not have a chance for advancement if they want that. We have a program in place that they can take with them if they get opportunities to grow."
