Pixsixpreviews.com released its latest article ranking the top college football coaches that develop their college prospects into NFL players.

The criteria for the study was from the recruiting years of 2002-2011 using the 247 composite ratings, and the player must have played under the coach for at least two years. Transfers counted as a miss and JUCO transfers were included in the study.

Swinney and Co. were ranked #2 in the country in developing NFL talent with 17 draft picks and 15 misses (non-draft picks, transfers, etc.) with a conversion rate of 53%. The best NFL position was wide receiver (80% conversion rate) while the worst position was offensive line (20% conversion rate).

Undrafted free agents were counted as misses in the study.

"UCLA, Clemson, and the other top "developers" have certainly proven to NOT squander talent," the website said. "But since the NFL places such a high premium on innate physical ability (i.e. not coachable), the results are even more revealing about these coach's ability to evaluate and recruit the best talent."

The Top 10 coaches developing NFL talent in the rankings were Jim Mora, Dabo Swinney, Jim Harbaugh, Gary Patterson, Nick Saban, Jimbo Fisher, Dan Mullen, Brian Kelly, Urban Meyer and Mark Richt.

Eight Clemson prospects are headed to the 2016 NFL combine which shows the talent the Tigers are regularly showcasing to the professional ranks.
