CLEMSON in the NFL

Swinney: "If they pass on Deshaun Watson, they're passing on Michael Jordan"

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was in Mobile, Ala. on Tuesday to support his former Clemson players Ben Boulware, Artavis Scott, and Carlos Watkins participating in the prestigious event.

Swinney shared some strong opinions about any NFL organization if they pass on Deshaun Watson in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.

"I'm just telling you if they pass on Deshaun Watson, they're passing on Michael Jordan,'' Swinney said to reporters at the Senior Bowl. "I'm just telling you. I don't know what the heck I'm talking about. I'm just an old funky college coach. (But) Deshaun Watson is the best -- by a long shot.''

Watson finished the National Championship win against Alabama going 36-for-56 for 420 yards and three passing touchdowns. He also had 21 rushes for 43 yards and a rushing score.

In 2016, Watson completed 388 passes out of 579 attempts for 4593 yards and 41 passing touchdowns with 17 interceptions for an adjusted QBR of 84.9.
