Notes, Video from Swinney after Monday's practice

by - Assoc. Editor -

- Challenged the guys to pick up were they left off before spring break. For most part team was able to that but there were a few guys Swinney said were still on spring break.

- Full first scrimmage Wednesday in Death Valley. "I'm anxious to see them perform where it is not scripted situational type of thing," Swinney said. "Just put the ball down and go play. It will be a big day for a lot of guys."

- Everyone returned from spring break without incident.

- Former Tigers at practice were Jacoby Ford, C.J. Spiller and Woody Dantzler.

-On Tyshon Dye: "He just looked very different than he looked in the fall. It is just a combination of him just continue to gain that confidence and just the off-season with the work ethic in the weight room, going through our off-season program. He's just really got back healthy and he really looks it. He looks great. His body looks great."

"I'm real pleased with Tyshon. He's moving and making cut and things that he wasn't quite able to do with speed he is doing it at right now. And he is more confident in what we are doing."

- First group of OL has had a good spring. "I'm very, very encouraged with Battle, Mac Lain, Crowder, Norton, and Gore," Swinney said. "[I like] the chemistry, the cohesiveness . That group right now looks confident and looks like they are having fun. They know what they are doing. I am very encouraged at this point. The guys behind them are all talented, athletic and hungry.
