James Johnson's stay at Clemson turns out to be very short as a source familiar with the situation tells 7 On Your Side that Johnson will be named head basketball coach at Virginia Tech, where he served as an assistant the past three seasons.

Johnson replaces Seth Greenberg, who guided the Hokies the past nine season but was abruptly fired last week.
