by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence talked to the media Tuesday as he previewed the upcoming rivalry matchup against South Carolina and answered a question about leaving a winning legacy against the Gamecocks.

"I haven't really thought about it much yet just being my first year," he said about his future record against the Gamecocks. "Definitely that would be the goal to go undefeated against these guys. That's definitely a goal to go for."

Lawrence will get his first taste of the rivalry series at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.

For the season, he has thrown for an impressive 2095 yards with 21 touchdowns and only four interceptions.
