Clemson won their first National Championship since 1981 with their thrilling 35-31 win over Alabama this past season. What type of season will the Tigers have as they are breaking in a new quarterback in 2017?

Las Vegas Sportsbook operator CG Technology released their betting win totals for the upcoming 2017 football season as the Tigers opened with a projection of nine wins which was tied for ninth-highest in the country.

The top schools projected with the most wins were Alabama (10.5 wins), Ohio State (10 wins), Oklahoma (9.5 wins), Florida State (9.5 wins), Penn State (9.5 wins), Wisconsin (9.5 wins), USC (9.5 wins), Washington (9.5 wins), Clemson (9 wins), Oklahoma State (9 wins), Virginia Tech (9 wins), Louisville (9 wins), LSU (9 wins), Michigan (9 wins), Miami (8.5 wins), Stanford (8.5 wins), Auburn (8 wins), Oregon (8 wins), Florida (8 wins), and Georgia (8 wins).

In case you were wondering, Clemson's in-state rival South Carolina had a projection of just 5.5 wins for the upcoming season.

Clemson kicks off the 2017 regular season with a home contest against Kent State on September 2.
