Tigers sign Texas track star, will join football team

One of the top high school athletes in El Paso has signed a major division one scholarship. Montwood football and track standout Elijah Britton has signed to run track at Clemson University. Britton picked the Tigers over Michigan State.

Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney has also expressed interest in having Britton join his team as a walk-on to play defense.

"I have to remember what I got the scholarship for and what I'm going up there for. So I can't really lose sight of track and field. But I also feel I can add football to the mix," said Britton.
