Three Clemson defenders made the Bednarik Award watch list on Monday morning.

The Tiger D-line trio of Clelin Ferrell, Dexter Lawrence and Christian Wilkins joined the group of athletes nationwide vying for the top defender honor.

Wilkins earned the Willis Award last season as the best defensive lineman nationally. He has 193 career tackles, 10 sacks, 43 QB pressures and 14 pass breakups.

Ferrell and Lawrence joined Wilkins last season with All-American and first-team All-ACC honors. Ferrell led the Tigers with 18 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks, while Lawrence tallied 39 stops and three tackles for loss in less snaps due to injury (438).

Alabama's Minkah Fitzpatrick took home the honor in 2017.
