Swinney updates Kelly Bryant status for GT game |
Clemson coach
Dabo Swinney updated the status of senior quarterback
Kelly Bryant Monday on his radio call-in show.
Bryant sat out the second half after sustaining a hard hit to the ground in his chest area on Saturday. Swinney said Sunday that he expected Bryant back in practice and confirmed he was in on the action on Monday. "Oh yeah," Swinney said of Bryant being on track to play Saturday. "He had a great practice tonight. He was ripping it around. And running around and looked good. All good." Bryant, sharing QB duties along the way with freshman Trevor Lawrence, has started each game this season. He has completed 67.4 percent of his passes for 400 yards with two touchdowns to one interception, averaging 9.3 yards per pass. Bryant is also second on the team in rushing with 125 yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns.
