Spurrier calls out Dabo Swinney yet again |
In what is becoming an almost daily occurrence, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier once again called out Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. This time at his annual preseason media golf outing on Wednesday, Spurrier when asked if Jadeveon Clowney is the best player he has ever coached, Spurrier somehow got around to making a dig at Swinney.
"We don't quite talk about it [championships] quite as much as Dabo does," Spurrier said. "Dabo, he's already got national championship on the board. But, we're not talking about it quite like that." On Monday during an appearance on ESPN's First Take nationally syndicated show, Spurrier said something similar about Swinney. "We don't talk about national championships...," Spurrier said. "Our coach over there at Clemson likes to throw that around, but not here."
