Former Clemson guard Gabe DeVoe will compete in the Charlotte Hornets' mini-camp.

"Opportunity is all you can ask for," DeVoe posted on Twitter Friday. "The rest is up to you."

Devoe doubled his scoring average from his junior season to his senior season, with 14.2 points per game, to go with 4.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

The Shelby, N.C. product was named to the Midwest All-Tournament team after Clemson’s Sweet 16 run, where he scored 20-plus points in all three games - including a Clemson NCAA Tournament record of 31 points versus Kansas.

In his final 15 games, he scored 20 points or more eight times.

If DeVoe makes the summer league squad, you can see him open play in Las Vegas versus Oklahoma City on July 6 at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU. They also play on July 8 (versus Miami, 5 p.m. on NBA TV) and July 9 (Boston, 7 p.m. on ESPN2).
