Publicist: Alabama LB didn't tell Watson to leave bar

Watson helped Clemson in the 2016 National Championship

Former Clemson standout quarterback Deshaun Watson was forced to leave the Innisfree Irish Pub on Friday night which is located just over a mile from Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

A video surfaced showing former Alabama linebacker Ryan Anderson and teammate Wallace Gilberry talking to Watson and strongly urging him to leave the bar.

Anderson's publicist Bob Broderick told TMZ that Anderson was actually trying to help the situation from escalating any further from some unruly Alabama fans.

"Bottom line, Ryan didn't ask Deshaun to leave," Broderick said, "and they have since talked after the incident."

Statement from Innisfree: "Over the years we have had thousands of visitors from rival schools and have always treated them fairly. Today was not any different. The unfolding of today's events were not led by our staff or anyone employed by Innisfree Irish Pubs. Unfortunately a customer attempted to invoke the right to refuse service on our behalf and after being identified, was immediately asked to leave the premises following the incident. We apologize for any inconvenience this incident caused to our customers. We appreciate anyone that chooses to visit our establishment and hope to continue welcoming sports fans for years to come."
