Notre Dame has better title odds than Clemson |
Clemson won their second National Championship in school history with their thrilling 35-31 win over Alabama this past season. Could the Tigers do the unthinkable and win back-to-back National Championships?
Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook released their latest betting odds on the college football favorites to win the 2017 National Championship. The Tigers opened with 20-1 odds but are currently tied with several teams at 30-1. One rather strange change in the odds has Notre Dame moving from 60-1 odds to 25-1 odds. Other teams that have better odds than Clemson include Auburn (25-1) and Georgia (25-1). Why does Notre Dame have better odds than the defending National Champions? Notre Dame's schedule includes games with Georgia, Michigan State, UNC, USC, North Carolina State, Miami, Navy, and Stanford. I don't see the Fighting Irish going through those games unscathed. This was a 4-8 team last season and I can't see them winning more than 8 games in 2017. Clemson kicks off the 2017 regular season with a home contest against Kent State on September 2. It's almost that time!
