N. C. State defeated Miami 7-1 early Friday in the ACC Baseball Championship in Durham, N. C., eliminating Clemson from championship contention. The Tigers play UNC Friday night at 7p.m., and the Tar Heels are still in championship contention.
The Wolfpack defeated Clemson 6-2 Wednesday night, meaning that even if Clemson were to win its final two games, the Wolfpack would own the tiebreaker. In the event of a three way tie, the tiebreaker is conference winning percentage during the regular season, and Clemson also trails NC State in that regard.
