Former Tennessee Titans defensive line coach Nick Eason has been hired to be a new defensive assistant at Austin Peay according to multiple reports.

Eason has plenty of coaching experience as he was the Titans' defensive line coach the last three years and also was the Cleveland Browns' assistant defensive line coach in 2013.

During his professional playing days, he was on four different NFL teams with the Denver Broncos (2003), Cleveland Browns (2004-2006), Pittsburgh Steelers (2007-2010), and Arizona Cardinals (2011-2012). Statistically, he finished up with 128 tackles, seven sacks, an interception, and one Super Bowl Championship (2009).

He was drafted in the fourth round (114th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.

In 47 games at Clemson, he finished with 153 tackles and 15 sacks and was named first-team All-ACC in 2002.
