Finebaum on Clemson: "Quit talking like you own college football" |
Clemson won their second National Championship last season in a thrilling 35-31 win over Alabama as the Tiger's rise to the top has talk radio abuzz including fans in Alabama and of course SEC Network's Paul Finebaum.
Finebaum spoke angrily to a Clemson fan during his Friday's show about how Clemson and their coach Dabo Swinney don't compare at all to Alabama and their high profile coach Nick Saban. "How can you put Dabo in the same sentence as Nick Saban,” Finebaum asked a Clemson caller. "Who died and made Dabo Swinney the greatest coach of all-time? He’s got one national championship, ok? I don’t understand this. Since when did Clemson become the it school in the universe? I've never heard a more intoxicated fan base in my life." "Quit talking like you own college football," Finebaum said. Finebaum won't have to wait long to watch all-mighty Alabama this upcoming season as they face off against a talented Florida State squad on Saturday, September 2nd, 8:00 pm on ABC. Hopefully the Clemson caller will give Finebaum a call back if the Seminoles defeat the Crimson Tide.
