ESPN: Time for cautious optimism |
From Heather Dinich of ESPN:
Those two losses for Clemson aren’t so farfetched. With the exception of a respectable start by Wake Forest, the rest of the Atlantic Division mucked its way through September, leaving Clemson and FSU looking like the top two teams in the division.
One thing to keep in mind about Florida State and Clemson: The Seminoles have the easier stretch from here on out, thanks to a more favorable cross-divisional schedule. FSU doesn’t have to play Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech or North Carolina. Instead, the Noles get Duke, Miami and Virginia -- none of which finished this month with a winning record. Clemson, on the other hand, has to travel to Blacksburg this weekend, and has back-to-back games against UNC and Georgia Tech.
