ESPN College GameDay headed to Clemson |
ESPN College GameDay announced on Saturday night that it is headed to TigerTown for the Clemson-Notre Dame matchup on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m at Memorial Stadium.
The last time that Clemson hosted College Gameday was back in 2013 when they played ACC rival Florida State. It will be the first appearance for the Fighting Irish in Death Valley since 1977. Also, ESPN’s “SportsCenter on the Road” will broadcast live on location from the Clemson campus next weekend. See you in a week, @ClemsonFB and @NDFootball. pic.twitter.com/tzHB1H4ilA Coming soon. pic.twitter.com/5h122RQeCS Clemson is still the craziest non-Fargo @CollegeGameDay crowd I've ever been a part of. @NDFootball @ClemsonFB next week should be crazy. Notre Dame defeated UMass 62-27 on Saturday to move to 4-0 on the season while Clemson had a bye week to rest and gameplan for the Irish. The Clemson Athletics' official Twitter account made a Match.com profile earlier in the week to persuade ESPN to come to Clemson. According to the dating profile, Clemson was "seeking a date for Oct.3 when @ClemsonFB plays Notre Dame." Some of Clemson's best features listed include "our fans, our town, tailgating, hospitality, noise and the hill." Hi @CollegeGameDay — we know you're busy this Saturday but maybe we could get together next week?
