Danny Ford urges Tigers fans to look ahead

Losing hurts, especially if it puts a damper on national championship dreams, and the long faces belonging to the Clemson faithful on Sunday showed the pain.

But, Danny Ford says, maintaining perspective is paramount.

“Sure, you would like to be undefeated, but that’s awfully hard to do,” said Ford, coach of Clemson’s 1981 national championship team, who delivered the keynote address at Lexington District 1 Educational Foundation’s Champions for Education program Tuesday night. “Think about what’s ahead; Clemson still has a fine football team and still can win the Atlantic Coast Conference championship and go to a BCS Bowl.”
