Clemson to be in 2012 Old Spice Classic

The 2011 Old Spice Classic just got under way today and tournament officials are already looking ahead to next year.

The field for the 2012 tournament at ESPN's Wide World of Sports was announced Thursday and it will be one of the better tournament fields in this event's six years in Orlando.

Current Top 25 teams Gonzaga (No. 19) and Vanderbilt (No. 22) lead the field that will also include fellow 2011 NCAA Tournament participants West Virginia and Clemson, NIT competitor UTEP, CBI invite Davidson, as well as Oklahoma, and tournament host conference representative Marist of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

The 2012 tournament will begin Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving Day), with the championship set for Nov. 25.
