Clemson ranked in Baseball America Preseason Poll |
Clemson is ranked #16 in Baseball America's 2012 preseason poll, released on Tuesday. Florida is atop the Baseball America poll, followed by #2 Stanford, #3 South Carolina, #4 Arkansas, and #5 Arizona. Other ACC teams ranked in the top 25 include #9 North Carolina, #12 Georgia Tech, #18 Miami (FL), and #20 Florida State.
It marks the 24th consecutive season that Clemson has earned a preseason top-25 ranking by one of the three major polls. In December, Collegiate Baseball ranked the Tigers #25 in its preseason poll. Clemson had a 43-20 overall record in 2011 and returns 20 lettermen, including All-ACC players
