Clemson practice report for Saturday

by - Assoc. Editor -

GLENDALE AZ - The No. 1 Clemson Football team arrived in style in multiple charter buses at Scottsdale Community College with scenic mountains in the background on Saturday afternoon.

Coach Dabo Swinney was all smiles as he got off the bus and the team looked relaxed as a whole.

Former Clemson standouts C.J. Spiller, Levon Kirkland,

Brentson Buckner and a large gathering of national media were some of the interested parties watching the Tigers.

In the first fifteen minutes of practice that the media was allowed to observe, the Tigers practiced a variety of special teams situations like spiking the ball, running the field goal team on the end of the game and positioning the ball on different sides of the hash marks for field goal attempts.

Junior defensive end Shaq Lawson appeared to have a slight limp in the activity portion of the practice with his knee brace on. However, Lawson was not wearing a no-contact jersey of any kind.
