Clemson is CFB Team of the Week |
From College Football Pundit:
For that effort, his team gets College Football Pundit’s Team of the Week honor for week three. It’s not just that Clemson won. After all, Auburn had been playing with fire in recent weeks and hadn’t exactly looked unbeatable. No, it’s the way Clemson won. The Tigers took it to their foes in dominating fashion, unfurling playmaker after playmaker, weapon after weapon in an offense that was itself copped from Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. Clemson is our team of the week because it might’ve finally figured out how to utilize its talent. And, oh, what talent it has. From sophomore quarterback

…it was just too much for Auburn to handle. Clemson rolled up 624 yards of total offense and 32 first downs and ran 92 plays. It was a dominating performance that wasn’t entirely reflected in the final score. No wonder Sweeney was so excited. We admit it: we are, too.
After all, his ACC Tigers stopped the 17-game win streak of the SEC Tigers with a 38-24 win in Death Valley last Saturday.
