• Clemson, who has won five games in a row and 27 of its last 30 games, swept Virginia Tech at home last weekend.

• Charleston Southern is led by interim head coach Adam Ward, who lettered as a catcher at Clemson from 2007-09.
• The Buccaneers won two of three games at UNC Asheville last weekend. They are hitting .261 and have a 4.70 ERA and .957 fielding percentage.
• Jason Miller is hitting .347 with 10 steals, Brandon Gragilla is batting .300 with four homers and Chris Singleton has 13 steals.
