Charles Barkley concedes Clemson-AU game at halftime |
NBA legend Charles Barkley is throwing in the towel early for his Auburn team.
No. 5 Clemson is blasting No. 4 seed Auburn 43-19 at halftime which is Clemson's largest halftime lead in an NCAA tournament game. During one stretch in the first half, Auburn went 0-for-18 on the floor. "We’re not going to win this one," Barkley said during the halftime show. "It’s over. Congratulations to Clemson.” Barkley picked Auburn to win the game and wore his lucky orange tie for the War Eagles. He stated earlier that Auburn never loses when he wears the tie. Fellow analyst Kenny Smith was popping his Auburn balloons behind him while Barkley commented about his team's poor play. Barkley played basketball at Auburn for three seasons from 1981-984. He averaged 14.8 points on 68.2% field goal shooting, 9.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.7 blocks per game.
