Brad Scott: Program has never been in better shape

Clemson’s assistant AD Brad Scott was one of the guest speakers at the Orangeburg Touchdown Club on Thursday. According to the Times, Scott said the Clemson program is in an outstanding shape.

“I can tell you this,” Scott said. “I’ve been at Clemson 14 years. Our program has never been in better shape than it is now. We’ve got about 11 seniors, maybe nine or 10 scholarships out of that group. Our graduation rates are off the chart. Our retention rates are up there. We led the country two years ago.

“We’re in the top five this year in those APRs and all those other things they want to rate you in these days. Our kids have stayed out of trouble for the most part and the best thing is the attitude of our program and all has never really been more exciting. So, I just give that credit to Coach (Dabo) Swinney and the job that he does preparing our team.”
