Tigers Pick Up Junior Commitment

by -

Clemson picked up a verbal commitment from Jarvis Jenkins (6-4, 290) from Central, SC. Jenkins will likely be the number defensive tackle in the state of South Carolina for 2007. Jenkins attended Clemson's camp this past summer and made a big impression on Clemson defensive line coach Marion Hobby. Jenkins will be a top ten prospect in what is a loaded year for South Carolina.

According to an assistant at Daniel, Jenkins had known it was Clemson since July. Jenkins commitment continues Clemson's momentum in-state. Clemson has received verbal commitments from Willy Korn (#1 Junior in SC), Jenkins (#1 Junior DT in SC), and will land Greenwood's Xavier Dye (#2 Junior WR in SC) as soon as they offer.
