Spring Game Watch: Courtney Vincent

Courtney Vincent was a holy terror on the scout team defense last fall. Vincent was expected to make a strong push for the starting spot at Mike. Before the spring, it was announced that Vincent would be moved to bandit.

Initially, the coaches hinted that the move was design to give them more bodies to work with at defensive end. As recent as Monday, the coaches begin to talk like Vincent was pushing Gaines Adams for the starting role at bandit. Several times we have tried to put it in perspective that flat out Vincent is a football player.

Fans will be in for a treat on Saturday, when most will see Vincent in person for the first time. Vincent's motor never stops running. Expect to see him blowing plays up in the backfield frequently on Saturday.

For now, Vincent will stay at bandit, but coaches have not ruled out moving him back to linebacker in the fall. Vincent is talented enough to crack the two deep at either position.
