Schaeffer Heads To College Station

by - Correspondent -

Brent Schaeffer will arrive in College Station, Texas today for what appears to be his final official visit, according to his mother. Schaeffer will visit with the Aggies and then sometime shortly after make a decision.

"Brent likes his situation at both schools. I know he had a very good trip to Clemson. I tried to help him keep an open mind going out to Texas. Both schools have very similar situations. Each school has a senior quarterback this year," said Chandra Schaeffer.

It is ironic that the two schools that will play each other in the first game of the season in Clemson, already find themselves in a close battle over the talented quarterback.

Ron West has handled the recruitment of Schaeffer for the Tigers.

"Coach West has been calling. I like Coach West, he really seems like a good person. I just want to make sure Brent is happy, where ever he goes. He was not happy at Tennessee. Whether he is close to home or far away, I want him to be happy. When he returns from Texas, we will sit down and try to make a decision," said Ms. Schaeffer.

We will have more news on Schaeffer's visit later in the week.
