Any news on the candidates to replace Coach Hobby?

We are still working on potential candidates. To be honest, this move caught us a little off guard. After the interest died from LSU, we felt Coach Hobby would remain at Clemson. Obviously, the NFL is attractive for a variety of reasons. Coach Hobby will be successful in the NFL, and we wish him the best. Coach Bowden has proven he can replace successful coaches with successful coaches. I expect he will do the same once again.

Any chance Ron West takes over defensive line and we hire a special teams coach?

It does not appear that will be likely. If Coach Bowden was going to move in the direction of a special teams coach, I believe he would have considered that after the first opening. There was little to no interest placed in hiring a special teams coach to replace Jack Hines. It is a possibility, but I would not say it is likely.

Can the baseball team live up to the hype?

Normally, the baseball program does not fall short of expectations. This team has a good grasp on the fact that being number one in February is almost meaningless. The goal is clear every year. Clemson baseball goes to Omaha, or it is a disappointing year. It is going to be an exciting start to the year.
