Do you have any news on Jamie Cumbie?

As of yesterday, everything was status quo. He is still a Clemson lean, and I believe someone would really have to impress him to change that. Most likely Cumbie will commit to Clemson in less than a month. Notre Dame is still in second, but between the end of May and the middle of June I believe Cumbie will make his commitment to Clemson.

Do we still look for the big bodies in recruiting this year?

As long as David Blackwell is recruiting coordinator, they will always look for big bodies. Clemson is recruiting two of the nations premier linemen in Clifton Geathers and Carl Johnson. They really like Adam Patterson and Ben Alexander. Alexander is not tall, but an ACC coach told us that he just plays like a tasmanian devil, destroying any and everything that gets in his path. Rickey Sapp would fit perfectly at the bandit position, and Clemson has positioned themselves very well with him. The staff will look to sign 8-10 big bodies each year under Blackwell's advisement this season will be no different.

What has been the difference with Andy D'Alessio?

When Coach Leggett sat him down against Wofford and played Ben Hall that was a major wake up call. Hall has been the Tigers best pinch hitter all year, and everyone knew Leggett was looking for an opportunity to insert him in the line up. D'Alessio realized he had very little margin for error. He has become more patient at the plate and is seeing the ball much better. There is no reason D'Alessio should be below a .300 batting average. He swings with as much power as anyone on this team. Hopefully, he will stay hot and deliver more big hits for the Tigers.
