Gut feeling on James McKinney and Mike Davis?

Clemson had a great visit with McKinney last night, and now have put themself in a great position. However, if McKinney does sign with Michigan this is not a case where fans should be critical of the coaching staff. The has fired every bullet they had in the gun, and even borrowed a few. There is nothing more Clemson could have done for McKinney. We still get the feeling Mike Davis is a Clemson lean. I do not believe Maryland is a factor heading into the weekend, but I also did not think Jonathon Hannah would commit to Virginia Tech. South Carolina and Kentucky along with Clemson will make late pushes for Davis, but in the end I believe he will sign with Clemson.

How many more close losses can the basketball team handle?

I am starting to wonder, but you are still seeing signs that the program is headed in the right direction. They have played right down to the wire in all five conference road games. There are still some missing pieces to the puzzle, Troy Mathis, but Clemson fans should be very excited about the direction this program is headed. Cheyenne Moore is starting to play very well, and when Moore and Cliff Hammonds are hitting outside shots this team has a chance to win every game. Also, this team should be commended for being such a young team, but finding a way to get off the mat every night.

Can we expect to go back to Omaha this year?

I know that is the standard for Clemson baseball, but that will be a tall order for this team. I will never be one to doubt Coach Leggett and his guys. This team should get better as the year goes on, the younger players become more experienced. Josh Cribb will be asked to be a starter this year. Last season, Cribb was untouchable out of the bullpen, but struggled as a starter. It should be another exciting year of baseball in the Palmetto State.
