December's Most Wanted

by - Correspondent -

1) DE Peanut Whitehead – Whitehead is clearly the number one target remaining on the board. Whitehead can be an impact player right away in college. He has all the physical tools to be a dominant pass rusher in college. CONSIDERING: Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas

2) OT Clifton Geathers – It is nearly impossible for any school to back off of Geathers. His potential is undeniable. After seeing him in person, he is probably 6 foot 8. He has a tremendous pedigree, but the academic hurdles are obvious. The future for Geathers is uncertain at best, but he remains high on the board. CONSIDERING: Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee

3) RB Marcus Sims – Clemson wants to sign one more running back in this class. Sims likes the situation Clemson has at running back. He feels he can come in and make an immediate impact. Florida State is still the school to beat, but Clemson is a much bigger player than imagined. CONSIDERING: Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Southern Cal, Alabama

4) DT Kareem Crowell – The Tigers are still thinking defense with this class. Crowell is still committed to Auburn. He visits Auburn January 13th and Clemson January 20th. If Crowell follows through on his visit to Clemson, he can be turned, but Auburn will try to prevent that visit from happening. CONSIDERING: Clemson, Auburn

5) LB Kevin Alexander – Alexander is a little more under the radar than the prospects that precede him on this list. Alexander has good size at 6-3 218, and he runs very well. We actually rate him higher on the board than LB Craig Stevens. Alexander is leaning to Clemson, and he comes in for an official visit January 13th. CONSIDERING: Louisville, Clemson, Tennessee
