Breaking News For Top Flight Prospect

by - Radio Host -

One of the top prospects in South Carolina is no longer being recruited by a couple of ACC/SEC schools because of character issues and recent off field problems.

Michael Washington of Allendale-Fairfax, SC had told USC that he was going to come to their game versus South Florida and commit to their staff Saturday night. However, Washington recently ran into legal problems and did not even show up for his high school game last Friday night.

According to two sources USC is not recruiting Washington anymore and another ACC/SEC has decided to drop him from their list as well.

"We are not recruiting this prospect anymore," says one college coach. "The information we have have lead us to this. Coaching is hard enough as it is without taking kids that get in trouble. Why make it harder? We will not take kids without knowing as much as we can. This will cause a lot of schools to back off of him."

We will not reveal Washington's legal problems but we will say it is a serious issue but not drug related.

We do not know if Clemson will continue to recruit Washington but doubt that the Tigers or several other schools will take the risk.
