No two visits to Clemson University are ever the same.

Just ask Delontae Moore.

The 2016 wide receiver prospect out of Ballou (DC) picked up an offer from Clemson after he attended Clemson head coach Dabo SwinneyDabo Swinney

’s football camp in June, and was a frequent visitor during football games this past fall.

Moore made the 525 mile trip from Washington D.C. to Clemson four times, including the weekends of the Georgia and Florida State games and he told TigerNet that each visit opened his eyes to something new about Clemson.

“It’s a great place to go to,” Moore told TigerNet Wednesday evening. “I went to Clemson three or four times and all of those times, it was like it was my first time there. The games and the fans, they show up and the team competes. It’s the place to be.”

During his visits, Moore focused on getting to know some of the Clemson coaching staff, including area recruiter and defensive backs coach Mike ReedMike Reed

“I didn’t really get to talk to any of the players, but I got to talk to Coach Reed, Coach Scott and Coach Dabo,” Moore said. “He gave me the walkthrough of Clemson.”

With Clemson being Moore’s first and only offer, the Tigers are clearly the early favorite.

“I haven’t really made a decision,” Moore said. “Clemson is my first offer so they are my number one, but I’m still thinking things out.”

However, Moore knows that his junior season will be his most important.

“Overall, I want to be a better leader for my team,” Moore said. “I want to get my speed up a little bit. I want to add a lot of mass and weight for next year because next season will be my most important year. So, I want to increase my strength and improve on my weaknesses.”

And, he’s already beginning to prepare himself by getting a jumpstart on his off-season workout regimen.

“I’m doing off-season workouts now. I’m running track. I’m in the weight room every day,” Moore said. I’m running hills. I’m doing all types of stuff.”
