has known for quite some time that Clemson was the place for him; however, it took until Saturday for him to make those plans official.

The 2015 Boiling Springs (SC) offensive tackle wanted to commit during the South Carolina State game, but decided to wait until he was absolutely sure about his decision.

The three-star prospect became Clemson’s fourth commitment for the 2015 recruiting cycle, joining safety Van Smith Van Smith

Green told TigerNet Sunday afternoon that he informed recruiting coordinator Jeff ScottJeff Scott

of his decision a little over a week ago.

“I called Coach Scott about a week ago and told him that I wanted to meet with Coach Swinney about committing. I originally wanted to commit at the South Carolina State game, but Coach Swinney wanted me wait,” Green told TigerNet. “I met with Coach Swinney yesterday before the game and I committed. I think he knew it was coming because I told Coach Scott. He was excited and ready to have me as a part of his team.”

Both of Green’s parents are Clemson alums so it’s no surprise that Clemson already feels like home.

“I’ve liked Clemson a lot for a long time. I know for a fact that Clemson is where I want to go so there’s no point in waiting,” Green said. “When I’m at Clemson, it’s not like anywhere else. It’s home to me already. I think that a lot of good things can come from committing sooner rather than later and I just wanted to go ahead and get it out of the way.”

In addition to Clemson, Green had offers from East Carolina, North Carolina, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

However, working with offensive line coach Robbie CaldwellRobbie Caldwell

was opportunity that he couldn’t pass up.

“It makes me super excited to be coached by someone as good as Coach Caldwell,” Green said. “That’s a real privilege and I can’t wait. I can’t to be a part of the offense.”

The 6-5, 275-pound prospect said that he will work from day one to be the best player on the field.

“I’m going to work my butt off and try to be the best player out there,” Green said. “I’m not going back down to anybody.”
