’s high school camp was a glimpse into the future, and that future looks bright.

We walked inside the indoor practice facility to begin the second session of the day, and three of Clemson’s 2015 offensive line commits were standing against the wall, getting to know each other – Noah Green Noah Green

.

The three watched the warm up and flex session, then retreated outside to watch the position drills for the offensive linemen, getting an early start on the chemistry they will need in a few years. One high school coach who was coaching at the camp walked by, saw the three prospects standing together laughing, and told me, “I could definitely win my region with those three.”

My guess is the Clemson coaches think that’s a pretty good foundation for winning an ACC title as well.

None of the three worked out – Fruhmorgen worked out in the morning session.

were in attendance for part of the afternoon session. McCloud – who had both parents on hand – spent time chatting with ESPN analyst Charles Davis and with recruiting guru Tom Luginbill before walking around the different position drills.

Fruhmorgen’s dad – John Fruhmorgen – wanted to see McCloud in action but found the Tampa (FL) Sickles standout outside, and asked McCloud if Sickles would take it easy on Tampa (FL) Plant this season. McCloud smiled and said no. Late last October, Plant (Fruhmorgen’s school) defeated McCloud and Sickles 24-20.

was on hand for the afternoon session, but didn’t work out. Rochester made the trip up with teammate and 2017 quarterback Bailey Hockman. He spent time with Luginbill and Jeff Davis at the first part of the session, then watched Grady Jarrett and Dan BrooksDan Brooks

lead defensive line prospects through a series of drills.

For what it’s worth – Rochester just might be the No. 1 defensive tackle prospect for the 2016 cycle, and will most certainly be top 10 overall. He’s big – he told me after he left campus that he was 6-5 ½ and 280 pounds – and can run like a deer. While I took a few photos of the drills, I asked him in an interview following the camp if he was a true defensive tackle, and he said he could play anywhere on the line, including defensive end.

Julian Rochester

Early reports have him leaning towards Georgia and Auburn, and I had heard that he really liked a recent visit to Auburn. However, late in the afternoon I heard that he was blown away by the visit to camp. We will have a story about him later.

*Several Clemson players are helping with the camp and Tuesday afternoon was no exception – Kevin Dodd, Ebenezer Ogundeko, Scott Pagano, Josh Watson, Eric Mac Lain, Jordan Leggett and Wayne Gallman were just a few of the players coaching during the drills.

*One high school coach told me that he brought a few players to camp hoping to get them noticed by the Clemson coaches, but said that where Clemson might have taken his guys even a few years ago, there simply isn’t a place for them now. He said that Clemson is recruiting on a level with the elite teams.

*The first offer of camp went out Tuesday afternoon when the coaches offered Manvel (TX) 2016 offensive lineman Austin Myers Austin Myers

. It was the first offer for Myers, who looked good during the drills I watched. Big guy (6-4, 280) who is still a little raw in spots but has the athleticism and agility to turn into a monster.

*I mentioned following yesterday afternoon’s session that 2016 QB offer Zerrick Cooper Zerrick Cooper

was hindered by a tender right ankle, and he wasn’t there for the afternoon session today.
