’s high school camp is in the books, and we have a lot of new information to bring you following the evening session.

A new arrival for the evening session was tight end J.C. Chalk J.C. Chalk

of Argyle (TX). Chalk (6-4, 225) is the grandson of former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings (the resemblance is striking), and he and his mother were being given the grand tour by Woody McCorvey.

Chalk spent some time with tight ends coach Danny PearmanDanny Pearman

and head coach Dabo Swinney before going inside to watch the receivers work out.

Chalk has offers from Arizona St., Clemson, Duke and Colorado St., but he told me following the session that Clemson will be among his leaders throughout the process. He will work out on Tuesday.

*Spent some time watching Jonesboro (Ga.) 2016 offer and quarterback Zerrick Cooper Zerrick Cooper

during the evening session. He was the best out there, and received a lot of attention from offensive coordinator Chad MorrisChad Morris

. I didn’t really get to see his footwork and see how he ran the ball – he limped through a few of the drills – but he didn’t leave much doubt that he has a strong arm, and he shows nice touch on the underneath routes.

Cooper is listed as 6-1, 183 pounds, but he looks bigger than that and it’s clear he has room to grow. He has offers from Clemson, Miami (FL), Kentucky, Ole Miss, N.C. State, Ohio St. and West Virginia.

*Went back over to watch the defensive linemen, and came away impressed with Damien Dozier, a 2015 defensive end from Raleigh (NC) Ravenscroft. Dozier has a quick first step and is extremely physical, and showed speed on the rush.

Dozier has offers from UCLA, Marshall, Cincinnati, UConn and Maine. If what we saw Monday was any indication, that offer sheet will grow. He got a lot of attention from Marion HobbyMarion Hobby

during the drills we watched.

How physical was Dozier? On one speed rush he hit the 6-foot bag so hard be broke the zipper and the seam at the top, knocking the padding out of the bag. 2015 DT prospect Albert Huggins Albert Huggins

, still helping coach and not working out, laughed while he replaced the padding and jokingly complained about Dozier “trying to run me over.”

Speaking of Huggins – who will work out tomorrow – they don’t come any nicer. I spent a few minutes with him during a break, and he reiterated that while he loves Clemson, he needs to see what other schools have to offer before he can make a decision.

*The wide receivers had several talented wideouts on hand, including 2016 wideout Reggie Hemphill Reggie Hemphill

of Manvel (TX). Hemphill gets in and out of his cuts with ease, and has good acceleration. Hard to say who he reminds me of – maybe Artavis Scott – but he did get a lot of attention from wide receivers coach Jeff ScottJeff Scott

– and came away impressed with North Charleston (SC) Stall 2016 offensive lineman John Simpson (6-4, 270). He has good size – probably a guard at the next level – but one former NFL player who was there said that Simpson held his own with the studs of 2015.

*Nikki Steele spent time with the running backs, and said that Huntersville (NC) Southlake Christian 2016 prospect Robert Washington was the best of that group. However, another athlete that caught her eye was 2016 RB D’Vaughn Pennamon out of Manvel (TX). Pennamon has just one offer – Louisville – but Steele said he may have the best burst of the group and definitely has the size (6-1, 205) to be a big-time back. She also said he looked good catching the ball out of the backfield, and that running backs coach Tony ElliottTony Elliott
