RHF Family Fun Fest
This is exam week at Clemson and there are no Clemson sporting events scheduled until this weekend. Therefore, I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to write about an exciting event coming to Clemson next weekend.
The second annual Ryan Harless Foundation Family Fun Fest is Saturday, May 10 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Clemson.
This event is an opportunity for the community to have a great time at a family friendly event and learn a little about our foundation and the organizations we are supporting.
Ryan is giving back to the community that has helped him. He has chosen four charities that he would like the foundation to donate the proceeds of this event once again this year. They are:

Last year with your help the Ryan Harless Foundation gave $20,000 to Clemson Community Care, Helping Hands of Clemson, Tanner's Totes and the Frazee Dream Center.
The foundation also helps Ryan in his recovery by assisting him with his tuition, physical therapy and counseling.
In June of 2008 Ryan was involved in a horrific auto accident when he was a passenger on his way to school. He had a traumatic brain injury which landed him in a coma for three days and in the hospital for 76 days. His recovery was called one of the top five his neurosurgeon has ever seen. Quite frankly, Ryan is a miracle.
Our foundation was set up to assist Ryan's recovery but we also wanted to teach Ryan how giving back to the community is among the most important things we can do.
We have two fundraisers each year. We will have a 100-hole golf marathon later in the summer and this Family Fun Fest. We would love to have you and your entire family come out May 10.
Admission is free and we will have food, games and activities for all ages. Since it is the day before Mother's Day, we will also have a station where you can make your mom a nice Mother's Day card.
