Mickey,

I can admit sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me when it comes to Clemson sports. I would have personally packed coach Brownell's U-haul in December. What a difference a month makes to be 6-4 in the ACC with this roster is miraculous. Coach B has done a fabulous job.

Brian

Brian,

I told everyone that would listen that Brownell just signed a new contract last year and firing him was not an option, therefore we should support him. He has been pulling the right strings in recent weeks. Some of the issues that plagued this team early have not been as big lately. The bench has improved. Josh SmithJosh Smith

looks like a new man. It is clear to me that the team's confidence has grown. They have more bounce in their steps. This winning streak has been fun to watch. Hopefully more good basketball is in our future.

Mickey,

My first reaction to the blog "Rivalries" and your comments about Bobby Petrino and Louisville is that Petrino has not class.  He has not demonstrated he has any integrity either in football or his personal life.  I feel badly for Louisville fans.  They deserve better.  Will Louisville become the FSU of the ACC with regards to the character of their football players?

Kindest Regards,

Kirk

Kirk,

I agree that Louisville fans deserve better than Petrino. It just seems he can't get out of his way sometimes. He promised he was a changed man but his actions haven't supported that claim. I also feel Todd Grantham is an issue as well. He has a bad reputation from his days in Athens.

Good Evening Mickey -- Just wanted to tell you how  disappointing and aggravating it is to me to see LJ with empty seats, like there was on Saturday against BC.  What is more irritating is the lack of students that come to the games. Thank the good  Lord , the band is there or there would not be 100 students in attendance. I find it hard to believe that with 20,000 students, we can't get 500 - 750 per game to show.

I drive 2 hours each way to come and they can't walk 15 minutes to show up and support their school team.  Unbelievable.  I know the old excuse, "there is so much more to do now".  That doesn't cut with me.  This team is playing well and has earned support from the students and the Clemson fans. Coach Brownell and his staff has got this team playing well, plus he is a credit to Clemson .

Sorry to vent, but there is no excuse, not to pack LJ and to make it loud and supportive of this team .

Thank you & Go Tigers !

Jody

Jody,

Like you, I get very frustrated with basketball attendance. It has been a hot button issue with me for years. However, I have thrown up the white flag and surrendered. I lost that battle. I try to pick battles I can win and I realize now that I can't win this one.
