Mickey,

Loved your blogs this week. You are dead right. Two things I'm curious about.

First, the ACC baseball tournament makes about as much sense as a football bat. Why can't it just be a normal tournament like every league has. I was shocked to see Will Merritt resign. Who do you think will be replacing him? If not sure, How about who do you think from our past players would do a good job replacing him.

Thanks,

David

David,

The tournament format makes no sense. They are stuck with issues like the number of teams, pitching depth, excess number of games in a limited amount of days, etc. I would limit the teams and play double elimination.

I was not surprised Will left but will miss his broadcasts. I think Will will prove to be very difficult to replace but I think they need a home run hire. Who? I am not sure but it needs to be a big name former player.

Mickey, first it's Pete and now Will. Where's there is smoke there is fire. What in the world is going on? It's going to be hard to replace.

Stuart

Stuart,

I agree. Will is extremely talented and very passionate about Clemson football. He will be missed. This is a big hire but I don't have any idea what direction they are headed. I think it has to be a big name who played fairly recently at Clemson.

MP

Clemson pulled in another big recruit this week with Garrett Williams. That's #15 for the 2015 class. Questions. How many scholies does Clemson have remaining to give? How many offers are remaining on the table. With the recruiting success that Dabo and Jeff ScottJeff Scott

have enjoyed in recent years, do you believe Clemson is as discriminating in their offers as they should be?

Thank you

TigerDunes,

When it is all said and done I think they will sign close to a full class in 2015. They have a ton of offers still on the table but offers are different now. Offers are handed out by most schools today differently than before. Most schools hand out more offers but many are not "committable offers." Clemson can afford to be very picky from this point forward. They need WR, DE and another DT.

's comments on fan support today are simply ridiculous. As you pointed out one can still be a fan and be angry about the performance of the team. Not attending does not make me less of a fan. It simply makes me rationale. I do not want to watch a team that was 34-22 overall and only 15-14 in the ACC. If he wants more support then start winning 40 games per year. Losing to BC and ND was inexcusable. We deserve much more from our baseball team.

Kindest Regards,

Kirk

Kirk,

I did not like the comment about fans not being allowed back on board. Fans are always going to love you when win and get down when you lose. Welcome to sports. This is just how things are and every coach and player knows that.

Mickey,

I thought that Monday's blog should have been used on Tuesday.  Monday's blog should have been celebrating their come from behind win against BC.  Yes, BC is a bad team.  At the same time, there has been very little opportunity this season to brag on the baseball team, and we could have at least bragged on their comeback.

Thanks!-David

David,

It was a remarkable win and it looks like it gave the Tigers some momentum. Maybe you are right. Maybe we can look back at the BC game finally as the catalyst we were searching for all season.

Mickey, I cannot stress the importance of getting this new basketball coliseum done right. If we are going to take this program to the next level it starts here. MAKE THIS THE MOST FAN FRIENDLY COLISEUM IN THE USA. Wider ,comfortable seats is were you start. I think this would be a great marketing tool to get fans to our games(hear complaints on the sardine seating every game i attend}. Hopefully you may can throw a bug in our AD's or Coaches ear and let's get this coliseum done right.

Thanks, Glenn

Glen,

I think the athletic director has made the new building a major priority. I think he wants this building to be his thumb print on his tenure here. I would be surprised if the new building is not done in a first class way.
