Mickey,

Mickey,

The loss to Wake Forest may have ended any chance we had of making it to the NCAA Tournament. Of course, perhaps losing to WF might be a sign that we simply were not worthy of making it the Big Dance.

Best,

Kirk

Kirk,

I never thought Clemson was an NCAA tournament team but I was excited they played their way into the conversation. Up until the Wake game, the Tigers had a real shot. This was much better than anyone expected and in my opinion better than this team deserved. This was not an NCAA tournament team. However, this is a much better team than anyone expected.

Mickey,

Please explain the NFL combined 40 times and why the official time is different than the clocked times.

Gerald

Gerald,

The unofficial times are hand held times. The official times are electronically timed. The hand held times come out immediately. They hang on to the official times until the end of the day. The hand held times are usually much faster than the official times.

Mickey,

The basketball team needs to have someone leave before next season. Any idea who that may be? Thanks. Love your radio show.

Alex

Alex,

I have heard there is a candidate or two but I don't think it is fair to discuss at this time. I hope you understand that I think it would be more appropriate to wait until they announce it. Also, I am not totally sure that decision has been made. I have only heard very unofficial news. I hope you understand why I am not revealing this at this time. Thanks.

Mickey,

Thanks for the blog. I am a loyal reader and listener. My daughter loves our ride in the mornings thanks to your show. What are you hearing about Dye's injury? How will this affect the rotation at running back? Thanks and Go Tigers!

Frank

Frank,

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you and your daughter continue to listen. I am hearing good news on Dye's achilles. I hear the staff feels like he can rehab and come back for fall camp. I am less sure of how this will affect his ankle and back injuries. There has to be a cumulative effect with all three injuries. I think there has to be some rust and confidence issues since he missed last season.

The running backs are an interesting group. I think Brooks can win the job but he has to get healthy and become more of a complete back. Howard has also been hurt often. He needs to have a big spring. Davidson looks very natural back there and has every opportunity win the job. I also think Gallman has a legitimate shot. In fact, if I had to buy a lottery ticket for the job I would put my money on Gallman but that is just a hunch.
