Mickey,

What do you think we will be ranked in the preseason poll next year? I am hoping for a top ten start to a magical season. Thanks.

Ken

Ken,

I have seen a couple of pre-season polls come out so far and Clemson is about 12-14. Monday night is important in that ranking. If Clemson can win Monday then they could be a top ten team in the pre-season poll. A loss would put them in the 10-15 range in my opinion. Some will depend on Nuk Hopkins and Tajh BoydTajh Boyd

. I don't think Boyd is leaving but if he did Clemson might drop to about 20th. If Clemson is ranked about tenth entering next season and beats Georgia in the opener then it could be a magical season.

Mickey,

Is it is forgone conclusion that Nuk is leaving? It seems like he is not being projected as a first rounder. Shouldn't he come back for his senior season?

Russ

Russ,

My gut says he is leaving. People I know that are close to him think the same way. I think he is not a first round pick but I am not sure he would be a first rounder next year either. I would not be shocked if he stayed but my gut says he will go.

Mickey,

I was going to the bowl game but after reading your comments yesterday it seems we have no chance. I am not sure why we should even show up Monday night. Looks like another 70 point outing.

Mike

Mike,

I think Clemson can win Monday but LSU is the best team Clemson will play this season. I pointed out the number of really good football players they have. Minter is a star. Both defensive ends are special. Reid is a high NFL pick at safety. All four running backs are great players. The offensive line is very good. The wide outs are pretty good and the quarterback can have a big game against a bad Clemson secondary. I personally think LSU wins but wouldn't be shocked if Clemson played well.

Mick,

Is Mike Reed the guy? Is he getting the job or not? I have not heard anything this week. Thanks for the update.

Drew

Drew,

Yeah, Reed is the guy. They have to do all of the back ground check stuff but he is the hire. I think they will announce it next week.

Mickey,

Give me your best guess on the remaining prospects. Who are we getting? I promise you can change your opinion next week but with the dead period I needs recruiting fix.

Michael

Michael,

If I can change my mind next week, here are my guesses this week:

North-UNC

Crowder-Clemson

Adams-Clemson

Egudeko-Clemson

Lawson-Auburn

Nkemdiche-LSU

James-Wisconsin

Kamara-LSU

Alexander-Florida

Wiggins-North Carolina

Baker-Clemson

Mickey,

Have you heard anything on the redshirt freshmen? Can we get a blog on those guys? Thanks in advance.

Frank

Frank,

The defensive staff told a friend that this is the best group of redshirt freshmen they have been around. They like all of the offensive linemen. Chad KellyChad Kelly
