CLEMSON -- According to multiple sources, Clemson has been selected by the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando. The Champs Sports Bowl, held on December 27, 2005, pits teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Big 12 Conference. Scheduled for a 5 p.m. kickoff, the game will be televised nationally on ESPN. The Big 12 opponent for the Tigers looks to be Colorado. In the 2004 Champs Sports Bowl, Georgia Tech defeated Syracuse, 51-14.
